2016 MGAA International Program

MGAA is proud to announce the opportunity for a team to travel to and compete in England this August.  The team may also have the opportunity to attend the World Individuals in Wales as spectators.

Tentative travel will be Aug 8-22 and will include sightseeing in Wales, the two day competition, and spectating at World Individuals.  Exact travel dates and touring plans will be finalized with the selected team.  The team will be competing on borrowed ponies and representing MGAA.  The selected team will travel together and be billeted together throughout the entire trip, with a team trainer/manager and a team manager/chaperone.  The team will likely be staying in tents and “roughing it” for part of the trip.  Parents are not expected to be present, but if they do wish to attend the competition they are responsible for their own travel and accommodations.

Interested candidates should be MGAA members in good standing for the past two years or longer and be excellent ambassadors of MGAA and the USA.  We are looking for excellent horseman with the ability to care for borrowed ponies to the highest level as well as skilled riders and experienced games players who have a strong vault.  Applicants should be team players, willing to accept coaching, and comfortable traveling away from their home without their families.  The MGAA Board of Governors will be reviewing applications and selecting the team.

This is an excellent opportunity to make new friends, see other parts of the world, compete at an exciting competition, and represent MGAA and the USA.

Interested riders should submit their application no later than March 8th.    If you have any questions please contact Krista, 540-226-4902.
